Pat Hooton

I have lived in Walkeringham, with my husband Roger, since August 2005.  We have two grown up sons and three Grandchildren.  I worked in the NHS for many years, before retiring from my post of Director of Nursing and Operational Services at The Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital, (Alder Hey) NHS Trust.

I joined Walkeringham Parish Council in December 2007, as I wanted to contribute towards helping the local community and preserving the rural nature of our village.

As an example of my contribution to the village, I obtained funding from the National Lottery Fund and other sources, to develop the Community Garden on North Moor Drive, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth ll Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Since its inception, I have maintained the garden with help from some volunteers.

My interests include protecting the environment, encouraging and protecting wildlife and supporting the interests of Walkeringham residents.
